Funnel cake

Youll need:

2 dl wheat flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
0.5 tsp baking powder
1.5 krm salt
1.7 dl milk
1 egg

Powderd sugar for serving


Golden brown, crispy fried cake that smells and tastes like a carnival. Simple and fun to make and incredibly good to eat.


  • Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add eggs and milk. Beat until smooth.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan (180 degrees). Fill a funnel with the batter and use your finger to block the hole so the batter doesn't run out.
  • Hold the funnel over the oil and remove your finger. Then move the funnel over the frying pan in swirls and circles. Make sure the batter overlaps so the finished cake sticks together.
  • Fry until the underside is golden brown. Carefully turn the cake over and do the same with the other side.
  • Lift up, dust with lots of powdered sugar and eat while it's hot!
